Newcastle Utd ‘to be offered Darren Randolph if Joe Hart joins West Ham’ in pursuit of new No.1
Newcastle United will turn their attention to West Ham goalkeeper Darren Randolph if Joe Hart relocates to East London this summer.
The 30-year-old ‘keeper is expected to leave Manchester City this summer and join the Hammers on a season-long loan, according to reports.
It will mean Randolph will be relegated to third choice under Slaven Bilic opening the door for a possible departure.
According to the Chronicle, the Magpies are determined to land an experienced goalkeeper and will be offered Randolph following Hart’s arrival.
Newcastle had been linked with Hart this summer as well as manager Rafa Benitez’s former No.1 Pepe Reina.
Randolph’s current deal with West Ham expires in June 2020 after he signed a contract extension last summer.
It is said Benitez is willing to offload Tim Krul this summer and are open to offers.
