Manchester City bid for Cengiz Under confirmed Read

Manchester City are set to miss out on the signing of Cengiz Under, the midfielder’s agent has suggested.
Manchester City bid for Cengiz Under confirmed, but Roma transfer set for Friday evening

Under is widely regarded as one of the top talents in Turkey, with the 19-year-old having scored in both of his starts for the national team.
Last season, he played in all but two Turkish Super Lig fixtures despite his tender age, helping Istanbul Basaksehir to an impressive second-placed finish.
The starlet, who can operate as a winger or a left-sided midfielder, scored seven goals and laid on five assists during his only league campaign with Basaksehir.
Vice president Mustafa Saral has now revealed that City made a bid for Under, as have Serie A side Roma.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Saral said: “Two giants from world
football have made an offer for Cengiz. It is an honour to receive this level of interest from Manchester City and Roma, who have both made offers.”
However, Under’s agent, Omer Koray Uzun, told Roma Press that a transfer to the Giallorossi was set to completed: “It’s at 90% he will arrive [in Rome on Friday] from Istanbul, around 19:00 CET.”
Despite seemingly missing the chance to sign the Turkish youngster, Pep Guardiola has made a promising start to the summer transfer window, signing Ederson and Bernardo Silva while shedding his unwanted squad players.
