With the sun finally deciding to make a proper appearance now that (dare we say it) summer is here, it's probably time to invest in a nice pair of sunglasses.
And no sunglasses brand epitomises summer cool like a classic pair of Ray-Bans.
The brand is the go-to make for celebs like Kate Moss, Beyonce - and even our very own royal fashionista, Kate Middleton.
But despite the universal appeal some shoppers are put off by the hefty price tag, which is why it is worth doing your homework on how you can snap up a good deal on the coveted fashion accessory. As well as some tips on how to not get ripped off.

Here is our round up of some of the best places to buy some cheap Ray-Ban sunglasses online or on the high street.

The sheer volume of stockists featured on the Amazon means you're guaranteed to find competitive prices for a wide range of Ray-Ban styles, including the popular Wayfarer and Aviator styles.

How to tell the real from the fake
These distinctive hallmarks will ensure you can spot an authentic pair of Ray-Bans and unearth any dodgy fakes.
- 1. Look for the RB and model number etched onto the left temple arm
- 2. Check the quality of the material - if it feels or looks cheap, shows any signs of rough spots or imperfections there's a high chance their aren't the real deal.
- 3. Are the lenses glass. Gently tap on the lens to check as real Ray-Bans are always made with glass rather than plastic.
- 4. Check nose pad by looking for tiny RB etched into the metal centre.
- 5. Look at the packaging - the real deal comes in a leather pouch which should have a Ray-Ban logo on the fastening, a big logo on the front, booklet and cleaning cloth.
