England's Young Lions made it through to the semi-finals of the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in South Korea on Monday, after a goal from Liverpool's Dominic Solanke sunk Mexico. England are finally starting to address an awful record in this competition that had seen them winless in five tournaments dating back to 1999. But it wasn't always so bad. In March 1993, a young England side went out to Australia to compete in what was then known as the FIFA World Youth Championship and came home with bronze medals.
