Former England star Rio Ferdinand will reveal his heartbreaking struggle with the grief of his wife's death in a new book.
Ferdinand lost partner Rebecca, aged just 34, after a short battle with breast cancer in May 2015.
He later touched the hearts of the nation with the moving BBC documentary 'Being Mum and Dad', where he openly discussed his battle against depression after Rebecca's death.
But now the ex-Manchester United defender will offer further insight into his grief with the forthcoming book 'Thinking Out Loud'.
The novel will cover areas touched on in the documentary, including Ferdinand's struggle to talk to his three young children about the loss of their mother.
The football pundit wants his book to encourage people to share their difficulties with mourning and mental health, especially men, who find asking for help a taboo.
