Daniel Williams, a restaurant woker from Islington, was sick and tired of worrying all the time where the next pound would be coming from. Life seemed like it was merely a succession of bills, and worrying about how to pay the bills. About a year ago, he had his car break down on his and didn't have the money to get it fixed. He remembers that very night, after a long shift at work, he just drank whatever was left in the fridge until he blacked out.
