Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen admits few players would say no to Barcelona: 'In the future I see myself at the highest level'
Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen has put Barcelona on high alert after admitting it would be hard to turn down a summer move to the Nou Camp.
Eriksen has been linked with a move to La Liga after continuing to impress for Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino.
The Denmark international scored 12 goals in all competitions last season as Tottenham finished runners-up to Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title.
And while he insists he is happy to remain with the north London club, Eriksen admits a summer move to Barcelona remains an attractive prospective.
'I've been there [on trial as a teenager] at one point, and it didn't work out too well,' he told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet.
'But Barcelona is a fantastic club - I don't think there a lot of players who would say no to Barcelona.
'But there is 'interest' and then there is concrete interest. Until there is some concrete interest, I don't have an opinion about it.'
Eriksen is yet to win a single trophy since joining Spurs from Ajax in 2014 but he believes the club can challenge at the very highest level in the near future.
'In the future I see myself at the highest level. That's what I dream about. That could be in two to three years,' he said.
'It could be at a different club or it could be at Tottenham, if we have got all the way to that level.'
